Pacelite pool Finish

Pacelite is a premixed cement based lining that offers a genuine luxury alternative to ceramic tiles. When applied and finished using a water spinner, Pacelite gives a luxurious marble effect which is low maintenance, strong wearing, economically priced and environmentally friendly.

What's more Pacelite is a continuous surface and therefore negates any worries about injuries from potentially sharp tile edges

Clients can incorporate a tile band and definition line within the pool or the pacelite can be applied throughout, up to the edge tiles.

It comes in a variety of colours including blue, white, yellow, black and jade green. 

Applying Pacelite

We are a skilled installation team who brush on a bonding coat before applying the pacelite render, then trowel up the surface ready for the final job of wet polishing/spinning the finish.

The swimming pool can then be filled immediately, without having to wait for curing times etc.

The pictures below fully illustrate the colours and clients preferred choices. Pacelite is versatile and can be applied to any shape pool, both indoor or outoor to give a finish as an alternative to tiles or liners.  

Notes

When on site, water quality for mixing is extremely important. As with other similar pool finishes, contaminated water such as well water or water high in metal and mineral content may cause discolouration in the finished pacelite.
All pool plasters, not excluding pacelite are subject to common plaster phenomenon such as shade variations, mottling, staining, efflorescence and scale with coloured or pigmented pool plasters being especially prone to these characteristics.

Maintenance.

Generally, colour-fast mineral pigments are used in pacelite to colour the fine cement particles and provide a background colour to the exposed natural aggregates. 

To enable you to protect this finish it is very important that the chemical balance of the water is regularly checked and if the pool is outdoors we would suggest the fitting of a winter debris cover and thermal blanket. These membranes should prevent leaves, grass cuttings and other vegetative matter entering the pool and creating a risk of staining the pacelite marble finish if left for periods of time.

As with all similar pool finishes, if vegetation is left to sit on the surface it may cause staining to the pacelite.
